Dosage

Hormonal replacement therapy in menopause women: 200 mg tablet daily as a single daily dose at night for 12-14 days of each month.
Treatment of absence of menstruation (amenorrhea): 400 mg orally daily for 10 days
Premenstrual syndrome: 200 mg tablet daily.
Common side effects
Urge to vomit (nausea), vomiting, diarrhea, pain in abdomen and lower abdomen, excessive gas in stomach; weight gain; fluid retention leading to swelling; tiredness; tenderness in breast; irritability, mood swings, temporary feeling of sleepiness and dizziness following intake of progesterone; menstrual abnormalities abnormal vaginal discharge; breathlessness, skin rashes and itching.
Who should not take
If you are allergic to progesterone or any other ingredients in the medicine.
Patients who have, had or suspected to have breast cancer.
Patients with undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, blood clot in veins (thrombophlebitis) or those who have severe liver damage.
patients who have or have a history of any disease related to blood clots (active deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism).
