Triptorelin is used in the treatment of locally advanced non-metastatic prostate cancer in men, endometriosis in women and precocious puberty (early puberty) in children.
How it works
Triptorelin belongs to a class of medication called gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists. It helps in reducing testosterone levels in men and oestrogen levels in women. This is how it helps manage symptoms of the disease.
